The crane project {Vancouver, BC Canada}

It's all gray and cold here so I thought I might just add something that was one my list way too long already anyway.

I got some questions lately regarding my crane project in Canada, soooo...
First things first: I, of course, did my crane project but it went through a tiny change. I somehow thought it might be more fun to not just give some color and advice, but to involve people by doing so, right?! So here we go with the crane project in Canada (yeah, the crane might got a bit of a downgrade (does this word exist?!) to decoration, but...oh well)

The only thing/question I gave to people was: "Give me one piece of advice, serious/less serious that means something to you and that you think is worth sharing"

Thankful for a wonderful last Friday afternoon with lots and lots of tea and sushi ♥

Countdown {And no, I'm not good in choosing suitable titels...I know}

Making the best out of my last week means...

...spending some time at bus stops obviously waiting for the bus...gray clouds!

Being happy about small things...like a place on the bus at one of the big windows!

Using a Christmas present and attending my first massage! (I guess I made a total fool of myself since I didn't know how the whole thing works (seriously...what do you wear, where do you go, do you talk during your massage, hair up do....? I never thought there was so much to a massage!!)...but oh well, that's probably a must-be for any firsts :P)

I spent a wonderful sister-afternoon watching Life of Pi and being treated with the worlds best Cheesecake ♥

And I beat someone at Jenga (never underestimate 5 years of babysitting and Jenga battles! Ha! Pride is saved!) And I obviously goofed around quite a bit

But besides all the fun and the smiles it's also reality that someone breaks into more and more frequent cry-episodes. I hope I can hold it together though. Did I mention I don't like Goodbye's at all...!?

Not so random Friday night activities {Back to ice cream heaven}

Well I requested a second turn before I'll leave next week and as it turned out, we were all at home at a random Friday night so bring on the ice cream!!!

We tried to trick our new Chinese student into believing we would have to walk for one and a half hours first. It did not stop him in his intentions of joining us. And of course...we did not walk ;)

It was raining (more of a fact than something I would complain about. And btw: I like rain!) The advantages of having a car ;)

Most difficult is to decide for which flavour your going this time...soooo much too choose from (and am attentive older host brother helping to decide is definitely helpful...for new students :P)

Peanut butter, mint, chocolate, fruits, crunch, brownies, cookie dough....

But we finally all came up with suitable flavour combinations!

Oh! Un dich hab heute morgen verschlafen! So richtig! Und das war ein erstes Mal (ich war noch nie nie in meinem Leben zu spaet) war ja klar, dass das an meinem letzten Arbeitstag passieren musste... but: nobody is perfect ;)

I want to...

Instead of going through my daily morning routine of reading all my blogs on my blog list while I'm having breakfast, I just turned of the light and watched the sun rise slowly over the mountains. See the sky turn from black, to gray to a burning orange-red. Because...in just 10 days I won't be here anymore. I wont see those mountains, and the fog which hovered over downtown and made everything look gloomy and sinister. Fog with glowing mountains above...

I want to hold on tight and never let go
